Bachelor's & master's degree pathway

Aeronautical Engineering

University degrees in aeronautical and aerospace engineering — the route into aircraft design, manufacturing, research and airline engineering.

Boarding passAH 201
Duration
3 – 4 years (bachelor's)
Entry
+2 Science with strong Physics & Mathematics
Format
University study abroad with preparation in Kathmandu
Outcome
BEng / BSc in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering

Overview

Aeronautical engineers design, analyse and improve aircraft and their systems. The degree is demanding and mathematical, and the right university choice shapes your career: some programmes lean towards design and research, others towards airline and maintenance engineering.

We help you choose universities that match your academic profile and budget, prepare a strong application, and get ready for the first year of engineering mathematics before you travel. Students who want both a degree and a maintenance licence can consider combined Part-66 programmes.

  • Advice from an aerospace engineering graduate
  • University shortlisting by specialisation, cost and outcomes
  • Application, statement of purpose and visa-document support
  • Option to combine a degree with an EASA Part-66 licence

Frequently asked

Aeronautical vs aerospace engineering?

Aeronautical engineering focuses on aircraft that fly within the atmosphere. Aerospace adds spacecraft and astronautics. For most airline and aircraft careers, either works.

Is this the same as AME?

No. An engineering degree prepares you for design and analysis; an AME licence authorises you to certify maintenance. Combined programmes give you both.
